Registered Psychologist & Practising Psychoanalyst
Understanding what troubles you, in your own words
Working with children, adolescents, and adults from both psychological and psychoanalytic perspectives across Fitzroy North and Coburg, Melbourne.
Areas of Focus
Working with what matters most to you
Children & Adolescents
Using play therapy through a Lacanian psychoanalytic lens, I assist children in demonstrating, speaking about, and finding solutions to their difficulties in collaboration with their family and school. For adolescents, the focus shifts to speaking and identifying patterns that create distress.
Eating Disorders & Body Image
I have a particular interest and experience in supporting individuals experiencing difficulty with food and eating and body image concerns, from both psychological and psychoanalytic perspectives. This includes working with the practical challenges and effects, as well as unconscious patterns, that sustain disordered eating.
Anxiety, Depression & Mood
Working with anxiety, depression, panic attacks, grief, excessive self-criticism, obsessions and compulsions, trauma, and mood difficulties. I combine skills-based approaches with psychodynamic understanding to address both immediate concerns and deeper recurring patterns.
“I take a humanistic approach in my work, respecting each individual's dignity, agency, and experiences.”
— Blake Davis, MA, Psychologist & Psychoanalyst
