About Blake

Psychologist & Practising Psychoanalyst

Blake is a registered psychologist and clinical psychology registrar who holds a Master of Clinical Psychology from the University of Melbourne. He works with children, adolescents, and adults from both psychological and psychoanalytic perspectives.

In therapy, Blake's focus is on treating you as a person — recognising your unique experiences and individuality — rather than a set of symptoms or a diagnosis. He aims to cultivate a secure and constructive therapeutic relationship where your concerns are actively listened to, deeply understood, and thoughtfully addressed.

Blake has a strong interest in psychoanalysis, informed by his ongoing studies with the Australian Centre for Psychoanalysis. He combines this with psychological approaches such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Motivational Interviewing.

His aim is to draw on both psychological and psychoanalytic perspectives to help people work through practical challenges, as well as issues that seem to resurface despite efforts to change, by helping to illuminate and address the often unconscious patterns that shape people's lives, choices, and relationships.
