Children & Adolescents

Using play therapy through a Lacanian psychoanalytic lens, I assist children in demonstrating, speaking about, and finding solutions to their difficulties in collaboration with their family and school. For adolescents, the focus shifts to speaking and identifying patterns that create distress.

Play Therapy for Children

For younger children, I use play therapy through a Lacanian psychoanalytic lens. Play provides children with a natural medium to demonstrate, explore, and communicate about their experiences and difficulties. Through play, children can express what words alone may not capture, allowing us to work collaboratively toward understanding and resolution.

Working with Adolescents

For adolescents, the focus shifts to speaking — creating a space where they can articulate recurring patterns, frustrations, and concerns. Adolescence brings significant transitions, and I aim to help young people identify what troubles them in their own words and develop new ways of navigating their world.

Family & School Collaboration

Working with children and adolescents often involves collaboration with parents, carers, and schools. I aim to build a shared understanding of the young person's difficulties and work together to create supportive environments across home and school settings.

Common Concerns

I work with children and adolescents presenting with a range of concerns including anxiety, behavioural outbursts and anger, difficulties with transitions (such as beginning school), social challenges, academic and study stress, disordered eating, mood difficulties, and trauma.
